Maybe it was the excitement of the first away game, the beautiful turf field, or the chill in the air, regardless of the cause, TCS brought forth the best they had to offer following a big weekend of sports tournaments outside of TCS. Lighting up the scoreboard were goals by Caitlin and Veronica and a third from Veronica as a result of an assist from Caitlin. Protecting TCS' goal were keepers Charlotte in the starting half and Theodora in the second. Oakley and Liv took a chance for the team, inserting themselves as strikers and trying a new spot on the field. The girls worked to a final victory of 3-2 and enjoyed a sweet treat from the Milligan family. Way to go, Owls!

Some may say “Foot”, but TCS girls say, “Foo-tay”, and nothing is more exciting than when you are going with players down, and wind up with a 5-1 victory. Determined to get the game in, the Foote School let us play an 8 verses 8 game with 25-minute halves. Had they known the score would be in our favor, maybe they wouldn’t have been so kind. However, in the end, this was a victory for goalkeeper Charlotte Lee, who has shown steady improvement throughout the season.  The coaches couldn’t have been more proud, with numerous blocks and only one goal that couldn’t be saved. Rounding out the game was the solid offensive play that led to Caitlin and Quinn having two goals each with a single by eighth-grader, Claire. Go Owls!

Nothing makes Coach Balogh more proud than examples of exceptional sportsmanship on the field and off. The Owls demonstrated this as they cheered on their opponents’ goalkeeper and helped fallen players back up. While the girls showed concern for others, they played hard, especially in the second half. Strong defense from Maria, Caroline, Madelyn, Sadie, and Katie helped pave the way for the strikers. Assists by Quinn and Caitlin, with goals by Quinn, Caitlin, and Claire, brought the end score to 5-0 TCS. Go Owls!
