Girls' Varsity Basketball Host Williams

On Thursday, 1/30, we welcomed Williams, the same team we faced earlier in the season. Even with three of our key 8th-grade leaders absent, the girls played with a newfound confidence and toughness, making this game a much more competitive contest. Oakley, Quinn, and Emily shared ball-handling duties, while Mia and Maddie provided tenacious defense. Anna took on a tough defensive assignment, guarding their leading scorer and anchoring our defensive efforts. She, along with Caitlin, Emma, Liv, and Charlie, contributed to one of our best rebounding performances yet! Offensively, Quinn led the charge with 6 points, Emily added some clutch jump shots from the elbow for 4 points, and Emma powered through for a hard-earned 2 points.
Overall, the team is making steady progress, focusing on keeping the ball high after rebounding, finding quick second-chance shots and outlet passes, and learning new offensive sets. Their determination, positive attitude, and resilience are truly commendable, and their team spirit is fun to see! We're excited for continued growth and look forward to our next game this Thursday at 3:45 at home against Hamden Hall.
