Varsity Boys Basketball Wrap-Up: Down to the Wire with Hamden Hall

In our second matchup against Hamden Hall, the boys varsity team gave it everything they had in an intense, down-to-the-wire battle. Despite a tremendous effort, we came up just short, falling 38-43 in what was truly a nail-biter.
Will P. led the way offensively with an incredible 28-point performance, while Jace, Oliver, and Matt P. also contributed to the scoring. Our team played outstanding defense, showing patience on offense and maintaining composure even as Hamden Hall adjusted their defensive strategy in the second half. We adapted well, moved the ball effectively, and fought hard for every possession.
In the closing moments, Hamden Hall was able to capitalize on a few fast-break opportunities to gain the edge. However, with just seven seconds left, Oliver drained a clutch three-pointer to bring us within striking distance. We put ourselves in a position to win, and the effort from every player on the team was outstanding.
The coaching staff couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, dedication, and heart shown throughout the season. Finishing with a strong 6-4 record, this team created memories that will last a lifetime. It’s a privilege to play middle school basketball, and we hope each player walks away from this season with pride in what they accomplished.
Great job, boys!
