Country School Falls to Hamden Hall, Looks Ahead to Rematch

The Country School Boys' Varsity Basketball team put forth a strong effort but ultimately fell to Hamden Hall, 30-45. Despite generating plenty of quality scoring opportunities in the first quarter, the shots just wouldn’t fall. Meanwhile, Hamden Hall capitalized on a scoring surge, putting Country School in an early 10-point deficit.
Defensively, Country School showed great hustle and determination, making Hamden Hall work for their points. However, the aggressive defense from Hamden Hall created challenges on the offensive end, leading to turnovers that disrupted any chance of establishing rhythm.
Although the outcome wasn’t what the team hoped for, there’s optimism heading into the rematch next week at home. With better ball security and fewer turnovers, the team is confident they can flip the result in their favor.
Next up, Country School travels to Hopkins on February 26 for another tough matchup on the road.
