Country School Wins with Some Help from Hamden Hall

Jason Wainio
Goals were plenty in the second match up between Country School and Hamden Hall.  Just like the first match, Country were short a few players and Hamden Hall was kind enough to rotate players to the Owls periodically to maintain even numbers.  The game was highlighted by Jace Coassin's hat trick, scoring three superb goals.  Jace finished out the game as the goalkeeper.  Two other goals were scored by Hamden Hall.  One was a deflection off a defender into our net for an own goal.  The second was a great shot by one of the Hamden Hall players that were on loan to Country.  Frankie DeFlippo had a great game holding down the left side of the midfield.  Oliver Malloy and Edward Barney were keeping Hamden Hall on their toes as they were pressing the defense from their striker positions.  Matthew Perrotti and Max Perl continued to play a large role in the defensive part of the field.  Ben Lipschutz showed a lot of energy in the midfield.  This was the final game for this season.  Coach Birdsall and I really enjoyed coaching you all this season.  You always remained upbeat, had fun while you were playing, and improved a lot from the earlier part of the year.
