Sportsmanship Shines in Hamden Hall Game

Jason Wainio
The Owls found themselves short handed against Hamden Hall.  Rather than forfeit the game, the teams agreed to play 9 versus 9.  On top of that, Hamden Hall rotated their players so that each of them played for the Country School team during the hour long game.  It was a classy move by Hamden Hall and one that was very appreciated by the nine committed players who participated in the game for TCS.  Matthew Perrotti played very well in the net for the first half of the game.  Max Perl and Kyle Jacobson had great games, demonstrating their improvement since the beginning of the season.  Oliver Malloy was hard at work at his striker position.  Ari Shapiro was playing through an injury and continued to be a integral player on defense.  Although the scoreline did not favor the Owls, the camaraderie and sportsmanship demonstrated in the game made it a victory for all involved.
