Girls' Soccer First Game of the Season

While no one ever plays a game hoping to lose, a lot can be gained from such a result. Today our girls’ soccer team proved that not just on the field, but off as well. Every player participated in hopes of winning and gave the best they could. Battling with injuries, aggressive opponent play, absences, and new players to the sport, TCS came out with 4 goals against our opponent, Christian Heritage. Goals were scored by Caitlin, Quinn, and two from Veronica. More importantly, than these goals scored, each player came off the field with enthusiasm and determination to improve in this game as a team. We spoke about wanting to strengthen our defensive play, offensive play, and most importantly, communication. Not a single player left today’s game with statements of “we or I should have”, but with statements, of “we need to”. As a coach, I am proud of you and have an extra spark of excitement for our future time together on the field, both at practices and games. Go Owls!
