A child’s natural enthusiasm for learning

Welcome to the Primary Years, where The Country School’s Mission is alive each day. We are proud of our private Kindergarten through 3rd Grade program. Encompassing young learners in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade, this private elementary school program strives to develop your child's natural enthusiasm for learning, curiosity about the world, and the joy of being part of a special community.

Primary Years

In our private Kindergarten program, children are developing the foundation of their social/emotional life. This is why, at The Country School, we prioritize teaching learners to develop their individual strengths with a specially curated curriculum that helps build a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning, discovery and joy.

The social/emotional program is designed to include a thoughtful balance appropriate to the developmental stage of the different grade levels. Each day our children experience vigorous physical activity while also enjoying moments of reflection and quiet time. Students enjoy our traditional academic subjects, participate in the arts, physical education, STEAM, and global language, and spend time inside the classroom and time outdoors.
