Boys Soccer Owls Play a Close Game on the Road

Jason Wainio
The Owls took to the road on a Tuesday afternoon and traveled to New London.  They faced The Williams School and played a close game with them.  During the first half, Williams scored early and then the defense tightened for TCS.  The boys went into halftime only down 1-0.  Williams added a second goal a little after the restart.  Down 2-0, Williams tackled Jace Coassin in the box.  A penalty kick was awarded, and Jace rocketed a shot off the goaltender's hands and into the back of the net.  The Owls had reduced the lead to only one and gave all they had in the final five minutes to score the equalizer.  It was not to be.  Williams scored one last goal at the end of the game.  Sam Collins, once again, was stellar in goal with 9 saves.  Zach Boure, Kai Lee, Max Perl and Ben Lipschutz all played well and almost never left the field to rest.  TCS will be back on the pitch Monday afternoon against Christian Heritage.
